The Centre d’Accueil des Demandeurs d’Asiles de St Aignan (St Aignan Asylum Seekers Reception Centre) and the event organisers met last month when the film “Pour l’honneur” (For Honour) was shown in Montrichard for volunteers.
The young asylum seekers in the audience were touched by this story about rugby and by the message conveyed by the Rugby Heritage Cup Pontlevoy 2023.
As soon as the session was over, these men and women expressed their desire to get involved in organising the event.
The following week, after a visit to the abbey, a highly motivated team came to Pontlevoy to carry out some work. Every Thursday for the past month, they have been helping to make the Abbey more beautiful !
